The Casa by Moda team joined Women in Property at their North West’s Single Family Rental event. The Single Family Rental market has exploded in the UK as rents are surging and investors are flooding to the market.
Members and guests gathered at The Box in Deansgate Manchester for this innovative and insightful event to be equipped with the current knowledge surrounding the marketplace.
Our PR Manager Emma Shone led the panel discussion, joined by Laura Pitcher from Sigma Capital Group Limited, Placefirst’s Aimee Bessant and Chapman Taylor architect Catalina Ionita.
We discussed how to stay ahead of the curve by creating unique and appealing products for the target demographic, and how we're creating sustainable communities in suburban locations, whilst understanding what effect this insurgence will have on the rest of the built-to-rent market.
The opportunities are endless… but it’s clear that developers and operators need to listen to what residents really want and need when it comes to creating neighbourhoods - with sustainability, quality and community at the forefront.
Architect and place-maker Catalina Ionita said: “We need to put the customer experience at the core and really nurture that in order for residents to stay for the long-term. We often think about amenity, but we need to think about high-quality design and also #ESG. We have a responsibility to look after our neighbourhoods which is really important when it comes to creating inclusive and diverse communities.”
Laura Moreland, Your Housing Group commented: “I recently attended the Single Family Rental Market event hosted by Women in Property and found it very insightful. It’s great to hear from a panel of women who are experts in their field and very passionate about their role in housing delivery across the North West.
