International Women's Day 2024

It’s International Women’s Day, and this year, we wanted to something a bit special.
At Casa by Moda, we love what we do – we’re working in an industry with a huge range of opportunities, career paths and experiences, and it’s really important to us that people from all communities and backgrounds know what’s on offer. And across Moda Group, 40% of our team members are female.

So, this year to mark International Women’s Day, we’re launching a brand new mentoring scheme to welcome students into our business, educate them about what we do and the opportunities at Moda and beyond, and give them real life work experience. Aiming to bring in 50 students over the next five years, we want to give people just starting out in their careers the opportunity to learn and ask questions from some of the best in the biz.

Working with the brilliant Pathways to Property, we’ve got 11 female identifying students lined up and ready to go for our first intake. Going forwards, the mentoring scheme will widen its parameters to reach additional underrepresented backgrounds and communities in the built environment space.

But that’s not all.

To celebrate the launch of the scheme and the AMAZING women working across Moda and our partner businesses, we’ve created a video highlighting just a few of the careers available in our little corner of the industry, and the people driving them forwards.

Our ESG Manager Tarry Depledge said: “At Moda our team is 40% female and growing, and it is essential to us to build on and maintain that balance for the business to be the best it can be. This International Women’s Day we are so proud to be launching a mentoring programme to help more young women prepare for the professional world and give them a taste of the many fantastic career paths that are on offer to them in the built environment, and to share our new video showcasing just a few of the amazing women working across our delivery pipeline.

“This is just one puzzle piece in our mission to evolve the diversity of the sector. It is crucial to open the industry up to people of all ages, backgrounds and communities, so it is paramount that we work as individual businesses and as an industry to keep creating new opportunities for individuals which will in turn greatly benefit everyone in the long term.”

Happy International Women’s Day from Team Moda. And ladies, remember: We make it possible.
